It all began as a vibrant dream and a big-hearted vision—a dream to create a lasting legacy for the people of a city he deeply cherishes. The Afra Recreational and Tourism Complex, upon its construction and inauguration, will stand as a tribute from Mr. Lotfollah Kamali to the people of this ancient land of forests and seas.
This is the dream of a man born on August 8, 1936, in the village of Jafakandeh, Bandar-e-Gaz. After completing his primary and high school education in Behshahr and at Bu-Ali Sina High School in Tehran, he began his career as an employee at Iran National Insurance in 1957. His enduring love for his homeland led him, after four years, to establish an independent insurance agency, Kamali Insurance Agency, in Bandar-e-Gaz, marking the start of an entrepreneurial journey driven by care and dedication.
Here are some highlights of his entrepreneurial journey:
- 1961: Founded the Kamali Independent Insurance Agency
- 1969: Established the first one-day-old chick production unit in collaboration with HIPCO Netherlands
- 1980s: Major imports of dairy products from Denmark and the Netherlands
- Established a flour mill equipment manufacturing factory (small single-story mills) in partnership with a Turkish company
- Founded WILDJEM LTD in the UK and Pars Invest in Spain
- Constructed the LAMECEDORA Hotel in Málaga, Spain
- Imported 15,000 to 20,000 CNG gas cylinders for cars from India and China
